Parenting Through Connection, formerly known as Parenting Connection Journey, is a closed, archived educational course platform for existing students who previously purchased access to course materials.
The public-facing page can be viewed without logging in. Access to the archived course materials is restricted to authorised users with login credentials.
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, stored and protected in connection with this archived course platform.
I am committed to protecting your personal data and complying with applicable UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

3. What Personal Data Do I Process?
Because this is an archived course platform, I process only limited personal data relating to authorised course users.
This may include:
- Your name, where provided;
- Username;
- Email address;
- Information associated with your course account;
- Login and authentication information; and
- Technical information necessary to maintain the security and functionality of the platform.
I do not intentionally collect personal data from visitors simply because they view the public-facing page.
4. How Do I Use Your Personal Data?
I use personal data only where necessary to:
- Maintain authorised access to the archived course;

- Administer existing historical course accounts;
- Deal with technical issues relating to course access; and

The course is archived and I do not use historical course-user information for advertising, behavioural profiling or marketing purposes.
I do not use information held for these historical accounts to send marketing newsletters.

Where processing is necessary to maintain an authorised user’s access to course materials they were entitled to access, I may rely on Article 6(1)(b) — contractual necessity, where applicable.
I may also rely on Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests where processing is necessary to maintain the security of the platform, protect user accounts from unauthorised access and administer existing historical accounts.
My legitimate interests include:
- Protecting the security of the course platform;
- Preventing unauthorised access to course materials;
- Maintaining existing user accounts; and
- Ensuring that the archived platform continues to function securely.
6. Who Processes Your Personal Data?
The course platform is hosted by HostGator.
HostGator may process personal data stored on or transmitted through its hosting service as part of providing website hosting and related technical services.
I may also use WordPress and associated technical services to operate the course platform.
I do not sell your personal data.
I do not share your personal data with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.
7. International Transfers
My hosting and technology providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States.
Where a transfer of personal data outside the UK is subject to the UK GDPR’s international transfer requirements, I will ensure that the transfer is made using an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards required by UK data protection law.

These cookies are necessary for authorised users to access and use the course platform.
If the use of cookies or other tracking technologies changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated where appropriate.
9. How Long Do I Keep Your Personal Data?
Because this is an archived course, historical account information is retained only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to maintain authorised access to the archived course and to administer the platform securely.
I will periodically review whether historical user accounts and associated personal data are still necessary.
When reviewing retention, I may consider factors including:
- Whether the user still has an entitlement to access the archived course;
- Whether the account is required for the secure operation of the platform; and
- Whether I have a legal or regulatory reason to retain the information.
If you no longer require access to the archived course, you may contact me and request deletion of your account and personal data.

Your personal data is stored and processed through my website hosting and course platform providers.
Access to the archived course is restricted to authorised users through login credentials.
I use appropriate measures within my control to help protect personal data and prevent unauthorised access.
My hosting and technology providers are responsible for the security of the infrastructure and services they provide.
However, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
I do not use your personal data to make decisions about you solely through automated processing or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
13. Children’s Data
The archived course platform is intended for adults and is not designed to collect personal data directly from children.
